Pros and cons of Collins Irish Dictionary app for iPhone and iPad

Collins Irish Dictionary app good for

Great conversion dictionary. Just wish they would have the pronunciation after the word. Would definitely be a five star app if they had that
Very good resource for both beginners and more experienced learners of Irish.
An excellent dictionary, compact and readily available for travel. A grammar companion would be worth its weight in gold for a serious student. It doesnt come with anything flashy, it simply is what it is and the cost matches the product.
When a lot of companies are making you buy the iPad app separate from the iPhone app, its nice that this dictionary had a free upgrade! It seems like a very simple app, but the more I use it, the more I like it. Its not obvious at first, but you can tap on any word in the definition and it will go to *its* definition. Very handy for narrowing down exact meanings for subtly different words. It gives parts of speech, which is necessary ("gift" and "bat" can be a verb or a noun; the translation may be different depending on its part of speech). Good selection of words; you dont have to have a live Internet connection for it to work. Thats handy.
Great dictionary for the price, lists a decent amount of entries and examples. Everything basic you need to learn Irish Gaelic. Still, I would like conjugations for verbs and declensions for nouns and adjectives (if possible).
I love having an electronic Irish dictionary to study with from my iPhone.

Some bad moments

This app is very expensive and doesnt contain enough words to make it worth it. There is a english irish translator which is much more usefull for .99. This is one of the most expensive apps, where an online link would have worked better. Dont waste your money.
